Euteamo is a little Brazilian boy from Rio, and very fond of

asking awkward questions.

One day, he said to his teacher :

- "Please, big white teacher, sir, what is the dew ?"

The teacher answered :

- "It's water."

- "Where does the water come from, sir ?"

- "From the clouds, boy."

- “Where do the clouds come from, sir ?”

- "From the sea, child, from the sea. The sun shines on the sea.

The heat makes the water rise. The rising waters make the clouds. The clouds make the rain and the dew, which make the rivers which make the sea. It's a cycle. Now do you understand, boy ?"

Euteamo looked impressed.

- 'It's very simple. Everything is a cycle. When you breathe, the air gives air to your lungs, and your lungs give air to the air. This is a perfect example of a cycle.

And your blood is another example. Your heart rejects the blood, and sucks it back. Everything is a cycle, is that clear ?

The cycle of light, sun, and moon.

The cycle of night and day.

The sideral cycle of the stars.

The cycle of the seasons.

The cycle of the tides.

The atomic cycle.

The subatomic cycle.

The superatomic cycle.

The undulating cycle of the Alpha and Omega of the Universe.”

The teacher stopped and looked at Euteamo, who was wrapped in thought.

- “Now, what do you think of that, Euteamo ?"

Euteamo looked up.

- "Big white teacher, sir,

why are there cycles ?

Why ?"
